Thanks again to the Apostolic Christian Church for your ongoing commitment to host Church Services at Woodhaven consistent with the Church’s ministry at Woodhaven. As in the past, the Church Dinner list is the source of names for this effort; and all, except for the elderly and those with other special concerns/needs, are included as Volunteers. All services are held in the Health Services Chapel/Dining area, except for the Sunday night Church Singings. Please try to have the chairs arranged 25-30 minutes before the activity is scheduled to begin. Typically most of the chairs will already be in place. You do not need to move any tables. We typically set up the chairs around them. Please leave lots of room between the rows of chairs/wheelchairs to facilitate assisting with page numbers. Your biggest job will be bringing the Residents to the Chapel/Dining area from the Assisted Living, Memory Services Center and Health Services neighborhoods and helping the Residents with finding the correct page number in the hymn book. It takes approximately 30 minutes to effectively encourage and escort the Residents from all three centers. Please arrange for a piano player to be present from the list provided below. As most of you already know, the singing goes so much better whenever you are able to bring some of your friends to help you with the singing service. If you have a scheduling conflict, please trade with someone else and let Randy know of the trade.
